It’s all happening in Paris right now. But let’s take another look back at London Fashion Week. Here’s part two of the LFW round up.
Fantastical as always, Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff brought their brand of fun fashion to LFW.
The bright, bold colours of their previous collections were not seen at this year’s LFW, instead the duo chose to do their take on the classic monochrome.
If anyone can make black and white fun it’s going to be Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff. Usually opting for a brighter bolder palette the guys re wrote the rule book when it came to their A/W 2013 collection.
The collection is full of exquisite designs and incredible craftsmanship. Although I doubt any of us will be wearing their lacy veils out and about, visually they are perfect.
Ruffles galore, a healthy touch of PVC, with a little velvet and a few tiaras thrown in for good measure.
Classic. British. Style.
Reminding us they invented the trench Burberry Prorsum’s A/W 2013 collection included futuristic updates of the classic coat. The catwalk show featured models of the moment Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne. The collection is ultra-feminine and the pieces are beautifully cut and tailored. We wouldn’t expect anything less.
So hard to pick a standout piece from this collection I want it all! With animal prints having a significant presence in the show it would be a shame not to highlight one of the print pieces.
Still think animal prints are tacky? Take a look at how Burberry make them super beautiful. Make sure you cast your eyes over the metallic snake skin pencil skirt, showing us it really is the year of the snake, not just according to the Chinese calendar but in fashion too. The combination of different prints is something I’d leave to the professionals, but I can’t blame you if the collection makes you want to dress head to toe in giraffe, snake and leopard.
